Cleaning Database - How long?

Hello I have shut down MC3 and I get a message "Cleaning Database - e:/drive name" It has been like this for the last 5-10 minutes or so, should I leave it - should it take this long? Someone with Avid on Vista...A Quick Question

I'm running Media Composer in XP and I'm a ton of touble using dual monitor. I have a big widescreen paired with a small 4:3 monitor and the resolution difference makes it impossible for me to run the avid 'window' over the two screens.
